How To Ace Mathematics in CLAT

Are you worried about CLAT mathematics? Are you facing trouble in calculations?

Are you thinking of leaving the whole section within the exam?

If that's so, worry no more!!!

The subject mathematics in CLAT could be a nightmare for many students attempting the CLAT UG, albeit they'll be from Science backgrounds. Some acknowledge that it's all Greek to them, while others sleep in denial.

CLAT may be a filtering exam, not a variety exam! To clear CLAT UG within the 1st attempt, it's enough if one correctly attempts all the non-difficult questions, i.e., around 80-85% or 120-130 out of 150 marks. It carries 20 marks out of the total 150 marks, i.e., nearly 13.33%.

If a student scores anything below 15 in quarter-hour, then three possibilities/three categories of scholars arise as mentioned below. Further, students who can score 15 marks or above in a quarter-hour are ready to ace the CLAT exam. Such students should specialize in maintaining their speed and accuracy by practicing from various sources, especially the previous year's CLAT papers.  “Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m Possible’”

First Category

The first possibility is a cheerful problem, i.e., when the scholar can solve all the questions correctly but lags in time. Such a student's performance demonstrates that he/she features a strong foundation of basics and only needs practice, and there's plenty of fabric on the web for training.

And practice here refers to the time-bound practice, i.e., setting a quarter-hour timer to unravel 20 questions correctly. When one achieves this target, one should avoid being complacent and continue practicing by reducing the target time to 10 minutes. After completing this target, a student should maintain this level of speed and consistency through regular practice.

Second Category / General Strategy

In the second possibility, generally, the scholar cannot unravel the bulk of the issues, which is often a transparent indicator of a scarcity of foundation of basics. Such a student should revisit all the concepts and understand them from scratch. Forgetting everything and beginning from scratch is that the only way forward for such students. Anything is going to be like shooting arrows within the dark and hoping to strike bulls-eye. Students who are during this category shouldn't lose hope because they can also score a minimum of 12-15 marks within the final CLAT exam with a touch little bit of understanding and practice. Persistence is that the key to their problems. if requires you can join CLAT online classes for better preparations.

Ideally, by dedicating 2-4 hours each day, it should take 1-2 weeks to understand the fundamentals completely. Once the scholars become conversant in the fundamentals, they should put their newly acquired knowledge to check by solving each of the chapters' problems.

third category

in the third possibility, the scholar is in a position to unravel around 12-15 problems within the deadline of quarter-hour but isn't ready to solve the remainder of the issues correctly. This is often a transparent indicator of a scarcity of an entire foundation of basics. Such a student should revisit the unknown/partially known concepts and understand them from scratch. Forgetting any prior knowledge of such unknown/somewhat known concepts and beginning from scratch is the only way forward for such students. Anything is going to be like shooting arrows within the dark and hoping to strike bulls-eye.
